The Kent County Playing Fields Association(KCPFA) is a registered charity and is affiliated to the National Playing Fields Association.
The KCPFA has been working with communities throughout Kent since 1926,when the Charity was founded by the late LT. Colonel R.L.Murray Lawes and Lord Cornwallis K.B.E.,M.C. Lord Lieutenant of Kent.
Its objectives remain the same today, to ensure that there are adequate facilities for recreation in every city, town and village in Kent, to fulfil this objective we encourage the provision, improvement, retention and use of playing fields, children’s playgrounds and other recreational centres. We provide general grants and low interest loans to members to assist Parish Councils, Sports Clubs and other organisations towards the cost of buying land for example, or for the development of existing facilities. We also have three memorial Funds that provide grant assistance to young sportsmen and women.
